Home Laminated Veneer Lumber

Laminated veneer lumber

Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is a manufactured wood product made of layers of veneers and adhesive and compressed under high pressure and heat. As an engineered wood product Laminated Veneer Lumber can be manufactured to meet customer design, strength and performance specifications.

LVL is stronger with a higher strength-to-weight ratio and more consistent resisting warping and shrinking compared to lumber. LVL is an ideal alternative to solid lumber when used for high-load applications such as headers, beams, rails, rim boards, and edge-forming material.

Laminated Veneer Lumber Applications

Door Components

LVL is effective with door components due to long term durability, strength and resistance to warping, shrinking and twisting.

Cabinet Components

LVL is used in building cabinets for its structural strength and resistance to long term use.

RV & Transportation Industry

LVL is a common structural component due to the high strength to weight ratio and ability achieve strict building standards.

Furniture Industry

High load bearing capabilities, straight, uniform in strength, superior to solid wood, high manufacturing yields. Strengths compromising defects are limited to individual layers. Most commonly used in bed slats, case good rails and upholstery components.
Advantage

Environmentally friendly engineered wood material with unique performance.
Homogenous material with unchangeable mechanical properties lengthwise.
Resistance to corrosive agents.
Optimal performance/weight ratio.
